If you follow the team AT ALL, you would know that Burke is one of the top candidates for the job. Also, neither Otis Floyd nor Sandy Beveridge will be on the coaching staff. Beveridge left football to be a fire fighter, so why would he return (at a still young age) to be a coach? Floyd has no interest in coaching. He doesn't feel he's the "coaching type."
And, please, stop perpetuating the myth that Maurice Mann is some great receiver; he's not. He might be the most overrated player in the CFL. He talks a lot and does very little on the field. If he is the go-to guy for the Argos, they are in serious trouble.
Also, Ray going to Toronto makes them better, but not so much better that they are instant Grey Cup contenders. Don't forget, Ray QB'd Edmonton to a last-place finishes in 2010. If he doesn't have the weapons -- and he most definitely does not if Toronto doesn't upgrade their receivers -- he is just a good QB stuck in a bad situation. Unless Toronto can get an elite receiver through free agency or trade, Ray's acquisition will mean nothing. They'll finish 6-12 and miss the playoffs again.

Wow! Just wow. Not one mention of Tim Burke for head coach? I have picked B.C. to win and with their 33 - 6 lead here half way through the 3rd quarter, I am quite confident I finally picked a winner. I am also picking B.C. to win the Grey Cup with the home field advantage even though they have not beaten Winnipeg yet this year.

Well I picked Hamilton to win and am now 0-3 in the playoffs. It wasn't easy to pick the Ticats, but I honestly thought they had the talent to pull it off. Couple that with an ageing QB that has shown his years lately, and that's why I picked Hamilton.

@ Lorne, I thought the same about Montreal, but Hamilton has some decent veterans as well, and some really good young talent. The Home team has won every meeting between these two teams this year, so I expect the Alouettes to win this home game as well.In the West the visiting team has won every meeting between the two teams and I expect the Stampeders to win this one. They seem to have a couple of back-ups this year who have played so well that they have transitioned into starting roles and been very effective. Jon Cornish and Drew Tate could lead this team to first round success.

I am picking Montreal and Calgary to win.

In the East Montreal has more experience to rely on and although I do not think they will win the Grey Cup again, it might help them beat a struggling Hamilton team. I also let my optimistic (and yes unrealistic) side pick the Riders to go 18 - 0. Now that the Riders are out, maybe I can get a better prediction rate in the playoffs.

I finished the season 33 – 39, which statistically means I probably could have done better by flipping a coin to see who would win each game. Medlock is good, however, would you rather be punting from your own 25 or taking the ball on their 45 because of your returner?
Team success shouldn't have much to do with these player awards. I just don't see Medlock beating Owens. Not only does Owens have back-to-back 3000 all purpose yard seasons, he's also on the verge of breaking Ian Smart's kick-off return yardage record of 1805. Owens needs 56 to do it. The only one even close to Owens as far as return yardage, in the 2 seasons he's been around was Yonus Davis, and for all we know, he's in jail somewhere.
Paul McCallum, unless he starts acting like Eddie Johnson, will break Passaglia's record for FG percentage.

Even after that 7-7 game, Medlock has missed 6 FGs and his average FG is 38 yards, the highest in the league, combined with the 3rd lowest punting average doesn't exactly scream Outstanding Special Teams Player.
